Cuba 1874 - Sc 62 - EDIFIL 30 - Unused block of 4 FORGERY
An uncancelled, ungummed block of 4 of a forgery of the 1874, 1 Peseta stamp. This forgery is of an absolutely incredible quality. As far as the typographical die goes, I have examined these stamps under magnification and the quality of this reproduction is amazing. I found slight differences on the vertical wavy lines on the right margin under the word CORREOS and very slight variations here and there but overall, an incredible work that must have been much harder to create than the original typographical die, since the engraver of the original did not have to worry about his engraving looking "exactly" like anything else previously made.
