Cuba 1961 - Sc C219-21 (Spanish, English and French) - (EDIFIL 861-69)
Stamps issued to commemorate the 1st Anniversary of the Havana Declaration (Declaración de la Habana) This is an unused, original gum, never hinged complete set of nine stamps that includes the Spanish, English and French language versions. I believe it is a little known fact that the complete text of the Havana Declaration is behind the Jose Marti effigy and that it can actually be read with a magnifying glass. Don't know anything about printing technologies, but I always thought this was quite and accomplishment, considering it was done with 50-year-old technology, back in 1961. The 2015 Scott catalogue value for singles is US $ 7.00 x 3 = US $21.00 - The 2010 EDIFIL catalogue price is € 26,25 (US $ 33.00)
